Real-Time Display Module
Features
Real-Time Processor Display Screen.
- This is an optional program module for which the Advanced Cross-Section module is a prerequisite. See video. This module is only used for Time-Based cross-sections, which is ideal for monitoring airports or other weather sensitive operations. When activated, RAOB uses timed intervals to search for new sounding data, and if found, automatically adds the new soundings to the existing cross-section diagram and re-analyses selected data parameters. This module can process two data types:
- Single Sounding Data Files: Any data type can be used for this option, but all sounding data filenames must use the same name convention as defined by File Mask. Each sounding file must contain only one sounding, each filename must contain year (Y), month (M), day (D), hour (H), and minute (N) information; while all other information is represented by the pound (#) character. Here is an example use of the mask:
Filename: 20081015_1200_RAOB.CSV
Mask: YYYYMMDD#HHNN#########
- Multiple Sounding Data Files: While the “single sounding” data format option allows data of any format to be processed, this option only processes the RDX (or Radiometrics Corp) data files. These multiple sounding files contain not only temperature and moisture data, but also liquid water and vapor density data. Special datafile names are not required since data dates & times are embedded within the data files. Since the RDX data files can be large, RAOB will need extra time to process these files.
- When using the optional Analytic module, the Weather Alert Table can then be activated to display a variety of weather alerts.
