Radiometer Data Decoder

• Radiometer sounding data are produced by surface-based microwave profilers. Soundings typically include liquid-water and vapor-density data in addition to standard temperature and moisture profiles. Wind data are not produced. Soundings can extend to a height of 10 km and can be produced several times per minute. RAOB can process all available SCAN and ZENITH data from the Radiometrics Corporation's "LV2" data files. Please contact ERS for requests to process other Radiometer data types. This data type can also be processed with RAOB’s Real-Time Processor (an optional program) module, which automatically updates time-series cross-sections.
